Neeli Setty Subba Rao, Telugu film distributor, on Saturday lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station against the upcoming Telugu flick Gabbar Singh’s producer Bandla Ganesh for cheating him to the tune of more than Rs 45 lakh. Bandla Ganesh is believed to be a close friend of state Congress chief and minister Bosta Satyanarayana.Mr Subba Rao, who is the owner of Crown Movies distribution company said Mr Ganesh cheated him of Rs 45 lakh with the distribution the movie Theenmar that was released last year. Mr Subba Rao said that though he had purchased the overseas distribution right of Theenmar, the producer didn’t give him the prints on time. Due to this, he had to suffer a loss of more than Rs 45 lakh. “For the overseas distribution, the producer must hand over the print of the movie 48 hours prior to the release. But Mr Ganesh didn’t hand over the print on time and I couldn’t dispatch the prints abroad on time,” said Mr Subba Rao.
